Founded in 1990 in the UK, the company now sells its products worldwide. A distribution centre opened in California in January 2004 which is responsible for Codelocks sales throughout the Americas. A factory opened in Southern China in Autumn 2004 which, in addition to giving the company greater control of quality, costs and efficiency, has also provided the opportunity for sales directly to the Chinese and other Asian markets.
