SEGURITEC PERU is the only international security show and is organized in Peru every second year. The event promotes and facilitates the sale of equipment, supplies and services for security, safety, sire, sescue and police.


Exhibitors are Manufacturers and Distributors of these Equipment and Services, who will have the opportunity to meet with new buyers to increase their sales. Visitors are Owners, Directors, Managers, Supervisors, Technicians and Specialized Personnel from Private and Government Companies, including Armed Forces, Police, Embassies, Airports, Hotels, Casinos, Hospitals, Clubs, Universities and those interested to buy Security Equipment and Services. Around 10,000 Visitors are expected during the three days event.


The Peruvian market for Security Equipment is very big and competitive, with a large number of brands from local and foreign suppliers. Peru has a generally open market. There are no significant barriers or limitations on imports and foreign currency is freely exchanged. Import of Security Equipment is subject to a 12 percent tariff levied on the CIF value (Cost, Insurance and Freight) of merchandise, plus 18 percent General Sales Tax (IGV). However, the samples for exhibition can be temporarily imported into Peru without paying import duties or without presenting Bank Drafts. A Technical Seminar will be held during the frame of SEGURITEC PERU to present interesting themes and to announce the State-of-the-Art Equipment for Security.


The outstanding economic development of Peru and the Boom in the construction of new Housing, Shopping Malls, Hotels, Casinos, Restaurants, Schools, Universities, Clubs among others, has created a heavy demand for Security & Safety products. Among the best sale products are CCTV, Digital Video Recorders (DVR), Access Control, Theft Detectors, Video Intercoms, Alarms, VHF Radio, Monitoring Remote, Satellite Tracking, Fire Detectors and Fire & Fighting Equipment.


Also the new Act No. 29783 approved in August 2011 obliges employers to comply with occupational safety rules for the prevention of occupational risks and punishes by imprisonment for not less than two nor more than five years which fails. This law has created a great demand for Safety Equipment for Body, Facial, Respiratory, Ear, Eye, Hand, Head, against Falls, against Chemical Spills, Visual and Audible Signals.


To meet this demand, the 9th International Security Fair, "SEGURITEC PERU" has been scheduled for May 17-19, 2012 in Lima, Peru. The major local and foreign suppliers of these products already prepare their samples and offers for this event. SEGURITEC PERU is the only international event organized in Peru every two years to promote the sale of Equipment, Supplies and Services for the Security, Safety, Fire, Rescue and Police.


Exhibitors are Manufacturers and Distributors of these Equipment and Services, who will have the opportunity to meet with new and potential buyers to increase their sales. Visitors are Owners, Directors, Managers, Supervisors, Technicians and Specialized Personnel from Private and Government Companies, including Armed Forces, Police, Embassies, Airports, Mining, Hotels, Casinos, Hospitals, Clubs, Universities, Commercial Malls and those interested to buy Security Equipment and Services. We expect 10,000 Visitors during the three days event.


SEGURITEC has been authorized by the Peruvian Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism (MINCETUR) and it is sponsored by the Peruvian National Police (PNP), the Peruvian Agency for the Control of Security Services, Weapon, Ammunition and Explosives of Civil Use (DICSCAMEC), the Peruvian Agency for the Civil Defense (INDECI), the Peruvian Firemen Department, the Latin America Security Association (ALAS) and the Peruvian Trade Fair Association (AFEP), among others.

Products to be exhibited in this event can be temporarily imported into Peru without paying import duties or presenting Bank Drafts.


A Technical Seminar will be held during the frame of SEGURITEC PERU to update general concepts in Security, Safety, Fire, Rescue and Police, as well as to announce the State-of-the-Art Equipment and Services available in the international markets.
