According to the latest report from business information provider IHS, Hikvision has strengthened its position as the world's leading CCTV and Video Surveillance Equipment company, the fourth year in a row that Hikvision has topped the list. The company's dominant 16.3% total market share in terms of revenue is up by more than 50% compared with the previous year and more than double its 8% market share of just two years ago.

Even more significantly, Hikvision has claimed the Number 1 position in every individual equipment category and makes up 18.9% of the global network security camera market, an increase of 5.9 percentage points in revenue market share compared with last year's Number 2 position (13%) in this fast-growing camera sector. The report also highlights the company's efforts in overseas markets over the years by ranking Number 2 in CCTV & Video Surveillance Equipment category in the EMEA market, achieving a 9.2% market share.
