Cargo Inspection System Aids in Discovery of Cocaine

L-3 Security & Detection Systems announced that its CX-Pallet dual-view cargo inspection system helped the Australian Customs and Border Protection Service uncover 240 kilograms of cocaine hidden in a shipment of concrete pavers. The CX-Pallet was installed at the Port Melbourne Cargo Examination Facility in June of this year.
"We are pleased that our recently deployed inspection system has been effective in helping Customs and Border Protection detect illegal substances," said Thomas M. Ripp, president of L-3 Security & Detection Systems. more

Brewery in Angola Selects March Networks Solution

March Networks announced that SABMiller Angola is deploying the company's VideoSphere portfolio in a new facility located in the capital city of Luanda.
SABMiller Angola is a leading brewer and bottler. Its portfolio includes premium, international beers such as Peroni and locally produced N'Gola. It is also a bottler of Coca-Cola products. Belgium Town Upgrades CCTV with IndigoVision IP Video

The Belgium town of Koekelberg has upgraded its obsolete digital CCTV system with a distributed IP Video solution from IndigoVision. With a population of over 18,000, Koekelberg is one of 19 municipalities located in the Brussels-Capital region. The 45 camera system was designed and installed by IndigoVision's local partner Sicom, a division of Fabricom.

Implementing CCTV surveillance over large urban areas is technically very demanding. more
