access control readers
Danish Industries, a trade organization and employers‘ association, occupies a prime location in the heart of Copenhagen, Denmark. One of their primary responsibilities is nurturing and maintaining optimum conditions for Danish businesses that are developing, manufacturing and competing at home and abroad. In the course of conceiving the plans for their building‘s recent renovation, Danish Industries identified a need to replace their former access control system which no longer met their requirements.
The task of planning room usage within a building or factory includes forming secure areas for IT, development departments, archives and other specific industry-related areas. These often change over time and may exceed the capacity of the originally installed access control system. GIT-SECURITY.com spoke with Chris Bone, Vice President Access Control EMEA Assa Abloy, about one of the expansion options.
HID Global: choosing the right reader for access control.
CDVI: flushmount panel telephone Telaccess. The Telaccess from CDVI is a flushmount panel telephone with an illuminated keypad and backlit display.
It manages up to five access control readers (proximity, radio, biometric, etc.) and four elevator boards (56 floors max.).
The system contains as standard a database for 1,000 names plus the feature of 10 “special” numbers catering exclusively for the needs of the trades personnel which may need access to the building.
