Network Camera with lightfinder technology

AXIS Q1602-E is suited in dark or low-light conditions where users require color information in the video to enhance recognition and identification of objects. Axis Half-year report 2011

Axis reports increased sales by 10 percent during the second quarter to SEK 747 M (678) and net sales increased by 27 percent in local currencies. The operating profit increased to SEK 90 M (74), which corresponds to an operating margin of 12.1 percent (10.9). Profit after tax for Q2 amounted to SEK 66 M (53) and aarnings per share amounted to SEK 0.96 (0.76). more

Axis presents interim results for the half year

Axis today forecasts interim net sales for the first half-year 2011 of approximately MSEK 1,550. This is equivalent to a sales increase of 17 percent in Swedish kronor and approximately 30 percent in local currencies.

The sales result for the half-year is thus in line with the previously communicated long-term growth expectations, but is lower than the latest compilation of the market's expectations produced by SME Direkt*. more

AXIS: Report from Axis' Annual General Meeting

Axis held its annual general meeting on April 14, 2011. The meeting resolved in accordance with the board's proposals in all of the matters proposed. The main contents of the most important resolutions are described below.

Resolution regarding dividend
The annual general meeting resolved to approve the board's proposal of a dividend for the fiscal year 2010 of SEK 4.50 per share, of which SEK 1.50 represents an ordinary dividend and SEK 3.00 an extra dividend. April 19, 2011 was set as the record date for the dividend. more

Axis Communications: A Strong Year

Ray Mauritsson, Axis Communication's CEO,  and Fredrik Sjöstrand, CFO, today presented the year-end report for Axis in 2010. They reported a strong close of the year with net sales of SEK 2,933 million (about EURO 330 million) in 2010 compared to SEK 2,301 million in 2009. The high demand for Axis products on all markets, a good inventory position and high availability of Axis' network video products contributed to the strong close. more

Axis strengthens its patent portfolio

Axis has further strengthened its patent portfolio through the acquisition of "Internet Camera Portfolio" from Hoya Corporation and its affiliate. The acquisition consists of about twenty patents. The purchase price of the patents will not be disclosed. more

Total cost comparison study IP vs. analog video surveillance

Axis Communications announces the results of an independent study comparing costs of an analog versus an IP video surveillance system. The study demonstrates that an IP-based system represents on average 13 percent lower cost than a corresponding analog system.  more
