In 2011, Basler AG achieved the best result in the company's history. „Our new strategy alignment agreed upon three years ago with focus on the camera business continues to prove successful", said Dr. Dietmar Ley, Chairman of the Management Board. Against this background, Basler AG will propose to this year's general meeting the distribution of a dividend of 30 cent per share.

Digital camera specialist Basler has started series production of two new IP dome camera models. The BIP2-D1920c-dn (Outdoor, AF) and BIP2-D1920c-dn (Indoor, AF) models offer auto focus functionality and deliver real-time video frame rates of up to 30 fps at Full HD resolution (1080p). The integrated auto focus functionality makes dome camera installation even simpler; the lens can easily be focused through the camera's web application. With this feature, manual focusing is a thing of the past.

Basler Vision Technologies announced that they have appointed Brandon Roe and John Recesso as new regional sales managers for Basler's IP camera series.
Brandon Roe will be responsible for expanding Basler's security channel network in the southeastern USA. John Recesso will be responsible for managing IP Camera sales in eastern Canada and the northeastern USA.

Several of Basler Vision Technologies new IP Camera models have been selected by Jerry's Nugget Casino to secure their gaming facilities in Las Vegas, Nevada. Jerry's Nugget is a well-established Las Vegas casino with various gaming options, live stage entertainment, and dining facilities. In the course of a security technology update, Jerry's Nugget is replacing 220 analog cameras with 200 Basler IP Cameras.

Basler's new IP Fixed Dome Camera models will be equipped with an audio function and with a new multimedia video processor. This processor technology is already being used in Basler's current IP fixed box camera line. First models with resolutions of up to 1.3 megapixels will be available in the second quarter of 2011.

After thorough production testing to ensure that they meet all quality assurance measures, the green light has been given for series production of the new Basler IP Camera models. These cameras exhibit outstanding light sensitivity and are equipped with CCD sensors with resolutions from VGA to 2 megapixels and frame rates up to 100 fps. Models with day/night functionality are also available. Additional models with CMOS sensors will be introduced in the first quarter of 2010.
