Musées Royaux des Beaux-Arts chose Genetec's video surveillance system

Genetec is proud to announce that the Musées Royaux des Beaux-Arts de Belgique (MRBAB) (the Royal Museums of Fine Arts of Belgium) has chosen Omnicast to protect their prestigious collection of art work as well as that of the Magritte Museum. The Omnicast system currently manages over 270 Axis Communications IP cameras, for a total surface area of 45,000 m2. more

G4S acquires Detcon S.A. in Argentina

Security Group, G4S has acquired Detcon S.A. in Argentina which designs and installs fire detection, CCTV, building management and access control systems. No price has been disclosed but the Group says that Detcon has gross assets of $2.3m and sales revenue of $4.5m in 2010. The acquisition complements the acquisition of Control Systems Argentina S.A. in October 2009 by expanding the group's presence within its current customer base as well as providing access to other targets which are currently using complementary technologies.   more

G4S acquires Guidance Monitoring

G4S announces the acquisition by G4S Regional Management Limited of Broomco, a special purpose company which owns the offender monitoring technology operations of Guidance Limited and its subsidiary companies ("Guidance Monitoring"), a leading international supplier of offender monitoring technology to governments across the world. Guidance Monitoring was acquired from Malcolm Roberts, David Parry, John Potter, Russell Miles, Comvest Limited and a number of employees of Guidance Monitoring and has gross assets of £10 million. more

G4S Forensic and Medical Services, the leading provider of medical and forensic services to the police in England, has been awarded a three-year contract to deliver forensic medical services to five police services, including Essex, Suffolk, Norfolk, Cambridgeshire and Bedfordshire. The contract was awarded following a competitive four-way re-tender. more
