The Hardware Competence Center was set up because the data and performance specifications of network cameras as stated by manufacturers are often measured under different conditions and are not always reliable in practice. The results provided a sound basis for planning IP video projects and help to avoid unpleasant surprises. more

ONVIF, the leading global standardization initiative for IP-based physical security products, recently held its fourth developers’ plug fest at Canon’s headquarters in Tokyo, Japan. In total, 65 engineers from 26 companies gathered from all over the world to test the interoperability of their products with the ONVIF specification implemented.
