The NICE User Group (NUG) is an independent, user-led organisation representing and supporting NICE customers, currently numbering over 5000 members and over 1000 organisations. NUG membership is free, and open to any NICE end user customers - now also including Security and Public Safety customers.

Cisco announced that Nice Systems, provider of intent-based solutions that extract insight to impact business performance, reduce financial risk and help ensure safety and security, has completed the first integration of Cisco blade servers in Israel in its quality assurance and development lab at the company headquarters in Ra'anana. The newly integrated data centre architecture has enabled Nice Systems to develop a unified information centre to fully realize the power of virtualization.

Nice Systems and Esri, a leading provider of geographical information system (GIS) software, announced that the companies have entered into an OEM agreement to enhance NICE Situator with Esri's GIS capabilities, for enhanced situation management. Under the OEM agreement, the Esri ArcGIS software engine will be embedded and integrated into the NICE Situator solution. The new integrated solution will serve the security operations needs of seaports, airports, public transport, railways, city centers, military organizations, as well as enterprises.

Nice Systems announced that it has acquired Lamda Communication Networks Ltd., a provider of satellite communications interception technology based in Israel. Lamda's unique technology addresses the growing demand for satellite communication interception capabilities and enables law enforcement, internal security, and intelligence agencies to fight crime and terror more effectively. The company does not anticipate material impact on its financial results, as a result of the acquisition, in 2010.
