ONVIF 2011 annual meeting

ONVIF, the standardization initiative for IP-based physical security products, announced that it held its annual meeting in Shenzhen, China in November, where speakers highlighted the progress of interoperability standards around the globe.

26 ONVIF Member Companies Gather for Interoperability Test

ONVIF, the leading global standardization initiative for IP-based physical security products, recently held its fourth developers’ plug fest at Canon’s headquarters in Tokyo, Japan. In total, 65 engineers from 26 companies gathered from all over the world to test the interoperability of their products with the ONVIF specification implemented. The objective of ONVIF’ developers plug fest is to ensure that end-users will be able to select from ONVIF conformant products from different vendors to work together on their network. more
