Enrico Bertani has a skilled experience in the ICT business having worked for over 20 years as technical assistance in the field. His most recent position was as Product Manager in the video surveillance Business unit of one of the most important Italian distributors of IP solutions.

There are several methods to enable the use of video surveillance at night or at low light conditions. The use of thermal cameras is one option, modern IP cameras with more and more light sensitive sensors are another. Nevertheless, if it gets too dark or if you want to get clear video images at farer distances, there is no way around illuminators.

PureTech Systems, manufacturer of video analytic software, today announced the integration of the Ulisse Compact PTZ camera from Videotec and its PureActiv wide area surveillance product. The integration, performed at PureTech's lab in Phoenix, AZ enables the camera to automatically follow targets using PureTech's PTZ Auto Follow capability.

Videotec effectively reacted to protect its patent rights at the 2010 Essen International Security Show (Germany) and obtained an immediate ban with seizure of counterfeit products exhibited by some Taiwanese manufacturers infringing some of the Videotec product patents. The appropriate authorities went to the relevant stands and seized the incriminating material. Another success that follows the one in 2008 at the same Trade show.
