ADB to deliver specialized in-terminal requirements to airports in Zambia

National Airports Corporation Limited (NACL), of Zambia, has picked ADB to help upgrade its four international airports to meet International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) standards. ADB will supply specialized in-terminal requirements including the baggage handling system, passenger screening and security system, substations, transformers and switchgear to the airports. The company is currently executing a project for Harry Mwaanga Nkumbula Airport in Livingstone.

"In addition to the fact that we have to standardize our processes and approach, technical specifications, training and after sales service at our airports, we were very happy with the consistent level of quality and support offered by ADB," said Prince Chintimbwe, Director Airport Services, NACL "In the past too the company has provide us well designed and executed projects that realize a quick return on investment (ROI) and guarantee equipment lifecycle costs."
