Foladin Company is located in Amoul city, close to the Caspian Sea in the northern reaches of Iran and not far from the capital city Tehran. Foladin manufactures iron products, and it is one of the biggest companies of its kind in the country.

Their facilities include offices and factories that are filled with machinery, as well as a large parking lot and various outdoor settings. As a leading manufacturer, the company was looking to build upon the solid foundations it had already established in the industry by increasing the security and efficiency on its manufacturing site. To accomplish this, Foladin had its sights set on an IP surveillance solution to monitor the production process inside the plant as well as all of the activity that takes place on the premises. Ultimately, they found what they were looking for, thanks to the combined efforts and cooperation of distributor Pooya Fara Negar (PFN) and VIVOTEK, who together provided a cost effective IP solution of superior quality. Before the agreement being made, Foladin Company also made evaluation on products from other leading surveillance brands. However, VIVOTEK was chosen for its high quality and value. By April of 2014, the project was successfully deployed, and fully satisfied the customer's expectations. 

Equip the manufacturing site with enhanced security

Faced with the task of tackling surveillance, access control, intrusion detection, and video analysis, a fleet of over 200 VIVOTEK cameras was installed on the manufacturing site. Included in the installation were two of VIVOTEK's sleekest models, FD8136 and FD8166. These ultra-mini fixed dome cameras are not only designed to be compact in size, they pack a mean punch as well. With selectable focal lengths, high viewing resolution, and 1- and 2-megapixel CMOS sensors respectively, Foladin's production halls are well equipped. These cameras stealthily capture superior image quality without drawing people's attention. Three additional models were installed for the outdoor and parking areas: IP8332-C, FD8137HV, and SD8362E. The latter camera is an extremely durable, dynamic, and detail-capturing workhorse. It comes with a tamper detection function, meaning that an alarm will be triggered if anyone attempts to block, redirect, defocus, or spray-paint the camera. The former two cameras excel in resolution, and between them, they have weather- and vandal-proof housing, WDR technology and removable IR-cut filters for all lighting conditions. Further, built-in IR illuminators on the FD8137HV ensure optimal visibility, and the camera is capable of handling diverse lighting conditions both day and night, making it a perfect solution for outdoor environments.
