As of July 1st, 2016, Moxa Europe has a new General Manager. Martin Jones is an experienced Manager who has his roots in the UK.

As newly appointed General Manager for Europe, Martin Jones is proud to have been given the opportunity to continue Moxa´s tradition of knowledge and culture transfer in the future. He is responsible for more than 60 professionals across Europe.

Today, Moxa Europe is seen as a market leader in Rail, as well as in many other market segments – for example Transportation, Power, Factory Automation and Marine.

Martin Jones will continue to make sure Moxa constantly adapts to the needs of their customers:

Our mission will be to capture the needs of this technology revolution and ensure that our Go to Market models of selected vertical markets, distribution channels and added services are aligned to fuel sustainable future growth, with the goal to become a recognized market leader in the IIoT business, just as in our other focus markets.

Martin Jones was raised and educated in London with an Electronics degree from the University of Surrey in Guildford, UK. Having spent a few years of his career as a digital design engineer, he decided to change his career direction to Sales, and was subsequently sent on a two year assignment to establish and run a subsidiary sales office near Frankfurt/ Germany for Plessey Microsystems. Somehow the 2-year assignment in Germany grew to 33 years, during which he spent some 17 years at Force Computers, Munich in various regional sales roles, before joining the executive management team as VP World Wide Sales. During the period following his time at Force Computers, further executive roles have included Director, Market Segments & Global Accounts at Leybold Vacuum in Cologne, as well as VP Sales, Europe for the EMS provider Plexus. 

In 2006, Martin joined a fledgling Moxa Europe GmbH in Munich as Sales Director. His responsibilities have included key account development, regional sales management, industrial embedded computing business development, as well as heading up the Moxa Europe shared platform resources, which include departments such as Technical Support, Finance and HR.
