The high performance chipset incorporated into Wisenet X cameras won the Grand Prize at the High-tech Safety Industry Product and Technology Awards 2017 held on November 28th in Korea.

Established in 2015, the High-tech Safety Industry Product and Technology Awards are designed to recognise outstanding products and technologies which are contributing to building a safer society through the continuous development of cutting-edge technology. The awards were sponsored by 15 government agencies and organisations including the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy (MOTIE), Ministry of the Interior and Safety (MOIS), and Defence Acquisition Program Administration (DAPA).

With all new architecture, the Wisenet X chipset runs up to three times faster than older generations of chipsets. This delivers much faster processing of video as well as specialist analytics which are pre-loaded on board the cameras as standard. Wisenet X cameras are also equipped with the World’s best 150dB Wide Dynamic Range (WDR) technology and the World’s best motorised varifocal F0.94 low light lens. Together, these features ensure superb quality colour images are captured regardless of the environment or the time of day, and without the need for IR LEDs or supplementary lighting. Selected models have gyro sensors for enhanced image stabilisation.
