HID Global Improves Passenger Throughput Efficiencies

HID TripTick Halo Makes Its Debut at Transport Ticketing Global to Address the Market’s Demand

HID Global released TripTick Halo, the company’s latest contactless near-field communication (NFC), QR/barcode and contactless EMV payments solution to improve passenger throughput reliably and securely.

The robust NFC reader only requires integration with one validator, thereby simplifying a solution that typically requires several readers and validators across multiple entrance/exit points throughout a transport station.

In high-density urban areas, where efficient and reliable public transportation is a necessity, it is important to maintain reliable and swift operations at the lowest cost possible. Through its single-user interface, TripTick Halo offers compliance to strict contactless payment standards, as well as reading capabilities of 1D/2D barcodes, as well as NFC/RFID tickets and tokens from mobile phones, tablets, wearables, contactless cards and paper in any orientation. Its intuitive and quick interface for data reading and writing translates into improved passenger throughput and higher efficiency for operators.

TripTick Halo features a LED illumination halo ring and Ethernet connectivity that provide unobstructed status view and loud sounder feedback, resulting in exceptional reading accuracy and speed. The reader can be mounted on a surface, pole or desk, and meets IP54 dust and water ingress protection rating, making it ideal for areas with harsh environmental conditions.

TripTick Halo will be on display at HID Global’s stand E-50 at this year’s Transport Ticketing Global, June 28-29, in London. Cliff Hunter, HID Global’s Head of Sales, Access-IS Business Unit, HID Global, will present “The future of ticketing: Making the Right Investment Choices” on Tuesday, June 28 at 5 p.m.
