Expanded metal mesh specialist The Expanded Metal Company has relaunched its ExMesh Securilath range of physical security products, in line with their Loss Prevention Certification Board certification.

The ExMesh Securilath range is now available in SR1, SR2, SR3 versions, which match their accreditations under LPCB LPS 1175: Issue 7.

Forming part of the Hartlepool-based company’s ExMesh range of security solutions, ExMesh Securilath is designed for installation between walls, ceilings and roofs and has been developed as a discreet method to target harden the most critical of areas.

The range, which provides additional security for walls, ceilings and partitions, now comprises ExMesh Securilath SR1, a lightweight option; ExMesh Securilath SR2, a heavyweight option; and ExMesh Securilath SR3, a double skinned option.

At its highest certification level (SR3), ExMesh Securilath can protect against forced entry using tools such as axes, crowbars, hacksaws and cordless drills.

The SR1 version holds LPS 1175 SR1 certification 731b03, the SR2 version holds both LPS 1175 SR2 certification 731b01 and LPS 1175 SR1 certification 731b02, and the SR3 version holds LPS 1175 SR3 certification 731b04.

The Expanded Metal Company’s ExMesh range offers innovative fencing systems and security products which are designed to protect people, property and infrastructure from a broad array of threats.

ExMesh products are developed and manufactured at The Expanded Metal Company’s 25,000 sqm site in Hartlepool, which is a long established global centre for expanded metal expertise. The Expanded Metal Company, which has operated for more than 125 years, was the first UK fencing manufacturer to be awarded ‘Secured by Design’ status.

The ExMesh range includes LPS 1175 SR2 and SR3 rated fencing and gate systems, ExMesh Fastrack, a fence system developed for the rail industry and ExMesh Electra, designed for the electric and telecoms industries.

George Hutchinson, product manager for ExMesh, commented:  “Our products are developed to ensure end users are able to safeguard their premises with a robust security solution, and the fact that these products hold LPCB security ratings means that facilities owners and operators can have the confidence in the level of protection they offer.

“We aim to enhance areas which can leave a facility vulnerable to physical infiltration, and our ExMesh Securilath is a versatile material which can be easily situated within internal and external walls, ceilings, roofs and windows, with the aim of delaying intruders from creating an aperture large enough to gain entry to a premises.”

Philip Astley, managing director of The Expanded Metal Company, added: “Our ExMesh Securilath range is widely used across the security and construction sectors and it represents just one of the many innovations we have developed in response to security threats, both national and global.”
