Commenting on the launch of Siveillance portfolio in France, Frank Pedersen, CEO of the business unit Security Solutions, said - "For the Siemens Building Technologies Division, and more specifically for Security Solutions, the possibilities in France are enormous as the set-up fits perfectly to our strategy to target customers in the corporate, critical infrastructure and intervention forces segments. With our Siveillance portfolio, we are committed to identifying trends that affect these customers and developing solutions to meet these trends."

With an estimated value of the total security market in France in 2010 of 1.6 billion Euros, Siemens' intention through Siveillance is to be present in three strategic segments: intervention forces (emergency response, police force crisis management centres, fire brigade, paramedics, strategic military sites, etc.), critical infrastructures (airports, ports, refineries,chemistry/pharmaceutical facilities, etc.), corporate customers (multi-site international companies, including financial and commercial institutions, manufacturing and engineering businesses).

The command and control software platforms, security management stations and wide-area surveillance solutions in the Siveillance portfolio are specifically designed to address the security requirements of such sectors, with a number of options available, including:

Siveillance Command: for those whose primary task is to intervene in an emergency situation in the most appropriate way possible, such as fire brigades, police and ambulance services. This high level integrated command and control solution delivers immediate and appropriate response to emergency incidents within guaranteed reaction times.

Siveillance Vantage: a command and control platform which is specifically designed to support security management at critical infrastructure sites, industrial complexes, campus-type environments or multi-site applications. It allows aggregation of disciplines related to the security and safety activities (fire, video surveillance, intrusion, access control, telecommunication, radio communication, management of intervention resources, geolocalisation, scheduling, etc.) to guarantee optimum control of the critical processes on a site exposed to multiple risks.

Siveillance SitelQ: an outdoor perimeter detection management platform, based on an intelligent video-surveillance technology, equipped with an exclusive analysis engine built with the latest-generation algorithms. It is designed to protect wide area sites (seaports, airports, refineries, etc.). The efficiency and decision-making ability of the teams of operators is optimized with just one large screen sufficient to provide a global view of the entire site to be monitored and through which alarm zones and virtual barriers can be easily configured.

Siveillance Fusion: enables the complete and seamless interoperation of access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection, network video recording and other sensing systems on a single platform. It can also interface with fire detection systems and building management systems. Flexible and scalable, Siveillance Fusion is suitable for small or large, single or multiple-site installations, offering corporate clients a user-friendly, modular system based on existing IT infrastructures and the .NET framework. It also meets the most advanced computer security standards in terms of encryption and the redundancy strategy of the architectures deployed (disaster/recovery).
Leveraging on local synergy as well as global expertise, Security Solutions can address the most complex security problems. From identification of requirements and needs to implementation of a solution, including the audits, risk and feasibility analysis, financing, installation, commissioning and maintenance, the company helps each customer reach its objectives, while preserving the durability of the initial investment.

Siveillance has already been officially launched in the UK, Germany and the U.S., to name but a few, and there are future launches planned around the world.
