artec technologies AG: hybrid/megapixel video recorders and video management solutions. For over ten years, Artec Technologies Inc. from the historical county seat of Diepholz, Germany, has developed and produced digital video recorders and video management software internationally known under the name of Multieye. True to its history as a long-term pioneer in hybrid and megapixel video recorder technology, artec technologies inc. will now present a variety of new products at “Security 2008.”

The new generation of Multieye Net, Business, Enterprise and MX recorders are identified by the abbreviation “NG” for “Next Generation”. All Multieye NG recorders are produced in accordance with ISO 9001 industrial standards and are now available with an optional factory guarantee of three years.

As a standard, the new recorder generation contains backplane-supported removable hard disk operation. In addition, up to three internal data hard disks can be operated with the Business and Enterprise recorders in a Raid array (optional).

The new MX Recorder NG Series comprises a combination of recorder and storage server in one unit. This recorder provides the highest level of operational security through its Raid array with up to 24 hot-plug removable hard disks as well as a standard dual power pack (installed).

More than 250 Cameras

All Multieye recorders are available with either exclusively analog, a combination of analog and IP video inputs, or exclusively IP video inputs. Depending on configuration, they provide up to 32 channels; an internal storage capacity of up to 24 TB; as many as 960 ips as well as image repetition and image processing rates of up to 1,000 MPixel/second.

The NG recorders can also be provided including a BGV-Kassen approval.

The standard Multieye software for all recorders and kits supports more than 250 network cameras and video servers from over 50 manufacturers such as Acti, Arecont Vision, Basler, IQinVision or Toshiba. As a result, the advantages of the individual products of various manufacturers can be obtained from one single system.

With the Multieye-Net software, highly professional, PC-based network video recorders (NVR) can be provided which include between 4 and 32 IP video channels. Live monitoring, recording, playback and remote polling are only a few of the extensive features which Multieye-Net offers. For system integrators and OEMs, the company provides a variety of Multieye-DVR kits consisting of video boards, software and accessories for the creation of PC-based Hybrid recorders.

Free Configuration

The Multieye VideoCenter II is a site-plan based, cross-system video management solution for the display of live cameras, site-plans, alarm signals, web browsers, and logbooks. Other features include playback and evaluation and the remote operation of switching components. At one and the same time, it enables both the management and remote configuration of a virtually unlimited number of Multieye recorders in a network.

Depending on the configuration of the VideoCenter II hardware, up to 4 work-station monitors can be operated on one PC. As many as 320 cameras from diverse Multieye recorders can be administered at one VideoCenter II, and of those 320 cameras, a total of 256 can be displayed at the same time.

Individual users can freely configure the placement and size of their specific video windows and then store them as “Favorites.” All Multieye products come equipped with data interfaces which can be used in conjunction with add-on software modules for solutions involving cash-points (POS), access control, plant management or video control centers.

External video sensors and data collection systems can also communicate with the data interfaces.

In collaboration with Delta Controls, Germany, the co-founders of the BacNet protocol, artec technologies AG shows an integrated solution of the building management system Orca View. In conjunction with the access control persons can be registered and searched within Multieye.
