Not everybody should have access to company property. Only specific people. Employees, supplier, cleaning staff to name a few - but they should also have different access rights. Who is authorized for which department? To which time frame and for which rooms? Different doors need specific access rights as well. Supplier staff, for example, should not necessarily have access to every door, such as normal employees don't need access to server rooms.
With a well functioning access control system, it is defined which person can access which department in an exact time frame. The system itself also needs to be adaptable to the builing and the company's requirements. Therefore, access rights should also underlie position, person and responsibility of each person entering. Furthermore, it has to be defined by main doors, departments or specific room requirements.
Documentation, surveillance and a variable door management is in demand.
