Tyco International announced today that it has reached an agreement to acquire Industrial Safety Technologies (IST), a global leader in gas and flame detection, from Battery Ventures, for $329.5 million in cash.
Tyco International today announced the completion of the merger between Tyco International Ltd. and its wholly owned subsidiary, Tyco International plc, a company incorporated under the laws of Ireland. As a result of the merger, each shareholder of Tyco International Ltd. received one share of Tyco International plc for each share of Tyco International Ltd. held immediately prior to the merger.
