Security is a key aspect for airports in particular: Wanzl offers elegant and technically perfect solutions for entry and exit points and for barriers in terminals. Fully automatic entrance systems, swing gates, emergency exits and turnstile systems regulate and guide the flow of passengers safely and reliably.

One example of a Wanzl guidance system in operation is at Frankfurt airport: here, Technoport systems ensure that passengers reach their destination safely and fast.

Security With Advanced Design

The Wanzl turnstile Sirio guarantees secure access in combination with advanced design and technology. The elegant model with a closed stainless steel housing adapts perfectly to the architecturally sophisticated surroundings at airports. It manages access to sensitive zones reliably: only persons with access authorisation can pass through the turnstile.

Wanzl offers the Sirio model as a mechanical or as a motor-driven variant. For motor-driven variants, it is possible to choose from a two- or three-arm pivotal centre, depending on customer-specific requirements.

Optionally Sirio can be delivered with an antipanic feature, releasing the route to the exit in case of an emergency. The two-arm open-gate variant offers permanent free access, the pivotal arm is activated by sensors only if unauthorised persons pass through and it then closes in the passing direction.

In all Sirio variants, the pivotal-arm control can be programmed individually. It ensures that only single persons can pass and at the same time guarantees a high throughput of persons. The operating panel offers the option of simultaneously managing two turnstiles. Any necessary inputs can be input immediately.

The integrated display provides information about the respective operating conditions and shows error or warning messages, for example. It is possible to flexibly choose between different turnstile release options, e. g. from an integrated card reader through to a ticketing system. The turnstile can be optionally integrated in complete facility security concepts.
