BSIA: changes to aviation security welcome. The private security industry has welcomed a statement from the Department for Transport, which outlines a number of changes to current aviation security measures.

British Security Industry Association Civil Aviation Security Section Chairman, Martin Aggar, comments: „The security industry has been working closely with aviation authorities over the past few months to ensure the smooth running of UK airports under the current security system. We recognise our role as integral to protecting against the terrorist threat through the p rovision of new technologies as well as the supply of security guarding services.“

The BSIA Civil Aviation Security Section pools the knowledge of member companies that work to secure the UK‘s airports and airlines.

The section focuses on exchanging best practice and cooperating with key bodies for the benefit of the industry and its customers.
