The King Abdullah Petroleum Studies and Research Center (KAPSARC) has placed an order for access control solutions worth just over 1.1 MEUR for its headquarters in the Saudi capital of Riyadh.

"We chose Gunnebo since its products comply with the Aramco Functional Specification Document. The products are required to be high-quality in design and easy to maintain," states Engr. Ihab N. Gazawi, Security Systems Engineer, Saudi Business Machines Ltd.

"Winning the order for this iconic and state-of-the-art complex is considered a vote of confidence for our company from all parties involved in the project, from the client's representative to the architect and the contractor," comments Jacob Touma, Country Manager, Gunnebo Middle East.
KAPSARC, a non-profit energy and environmental research organisation, is an autonomous institution funded by proceeds from its own endowment. It reports to a Board of Trustees composed of international members.

Its iconic headquarters has been designed by world-renowned architect Zaha Hadid and is located near Riyadh's King Khalid International Airport.
Installation of the access control solutions will start in August 2012 and is to be completed before year end.
