Wiesemann & Theis: RFID Server. While many integrators dream the dream of an RFID system, actually making it happen can be more of a nightmare. Now the new Wiesemann & Theis RFID Server comes to the rescue with „easy start“.

It begins with the 10/100 BaseT TCP/IP Ethernet connection, which gets its IP address using DHCP or the Wutility tool.

From then on all the configurations are available using a standard Web browser. The built-in antenna begins to fully automatically scan the surroundings, so that the included ISO-15693 transponders (two tags included in credit card format) can be immediately detected from 30cm or more away.

Tag recognition is indicated using LEDs, a buzzer and a data packet generated within a TCP connection. Fully autonomous operation is possible using the output changeover relay and four digital open collector 0–12 V outputs, once the browser configuration has been used to learn tag lists and any time and control conditions for the four digital outputs have been specified.
